This stately gravy boat by the East Palestine Pottery Co. of East Palestine, Ohio in the "Soto" pattern commands attention with its richly embossed body of scrolling acanthus leaves and shell motifs, its deeply scalloped rim rippling like sea foam along the edge. Gold trim traces every curve — the rim, the footed base, and the elaborately scrolled handle — lending an air of Victorian grandeur to this beautifully preserved American serving piece. A rare and distinguished find for collectors of antique American pottery and lovers of ornate tableware.
