Vintage Meissen Crossed Swords Porcelain White Scalloped Nappy Dish 4" [7410]
Vintage Meissen Crossed Swords Porcelain White Scalloped Nappy Dish 4" [7410]
Pure, luminous, and unmistakably aristocratic — this petite Meissen porcelain nappy dish speaks entirely through form and glaze. Unadorned save for its gently scalloped ruffled rim, the piece glows with the brilliant blanc de chine whiteness that made Meissen's 18th-century porcelain the envy of every European court. The underglaze blue Crossed Swords mark on the base — one of the world's oldest continuously used trademarks, established in 1723 — confirms this as a genuine piece from the celebrated Meissen Porcelain Manufactory of Saxony, Germany.
