Draped entirely in lustrous encrusted gold, this Pickard China sugar bowl is a showpiece of American luxury china at its most opulent. The bulbous, footed body is enveloped in a dense, all-over etched floral and foliate pattern pressed directly into the gold surface, catching the light with every turn. Twin elegant loop handles frame the piece with graceful symmetry, while the cream-white interior is rimmed in a wide band of matching gold — a hallmark of Pickard's celebrated gold-encrusted line.
