A lovely piece of English ceramic heritage, this Vintage Spode's Jewel plate in the Billingsley Rose pattern is a collector's dream. Made by Copeland Spode, England, this plate features the iconic embossed Jewel border — concentric rings of beading and delicate floral motifs — surrounding a beautifully rendered central bouquet of a full-blown pink rose, forget-me-nots, and orange blossoms.

The Billingsley Rose pattern takes its name from William Billingsley, the celebrated English porcelain painter known for his naturalistic floral designs. This plate carries a U.S. Patent date of June 15, 1920, placing it firmly in the early 20th century — a wonderful example of the Arts & Crafts-era English tableware that graced fine homes on both sides of the Atlantic.

Approximately 9 inches in diameter. A charming display piece for a cottage shelf, china cabinet, or wall grouping.
