A captivating piece of Wedgwood artistry — this circular Blue Jasperware medallion was originally mounted as a brooch/pin and features one of Wedgwood's most beloved neoclassical relief scenes: a graceful dancing muse or goddess in flowing robes, her drapery billowing behind her, flanked by two lively putti (cherubs) — one holding a torch aloft, the other reaching upward in joyful motion.

The powder-blue Jasperware ground sets off the crisp white relief with striking contrast, showcasing the exceptional sculptural quality that made Wedgwood Jasperware world-famous.
