A striking piece of Victorian-era English pottery, this teacup features the elegant Lille pattern — a richly detailed brown transferware design showcasing a lace-like scalloped arch border, intricate floral and leaf motifs, and a fine dot lattice band at the rim with gilt accent. The white body is generously proportioned at approximately 3 inches tall, with a graceful loop handle. Backstamp reads: Lille — Wedgwood & Co. Ltd., England, Trade Mark, Founded in 1835 by Enoch Wedgwood with the iconic unicorn mark. Note: Wedgwood & Co. Ltd. (Enoch Wedgwood) is a separate company from Josiah Wedgwood & Sons.
