Vintage American China Co BPOE Elks Allegheny PA Souvenir Plate 1890s [7035]
A rare and historically significant piece of American fraternal memorabilia, this souvenir plate was made by The American China Co. of Toronto, Ohio to commemorate a Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks (B.P.O.E.) convention held in Allegheny, Pennsylvania, July 10th–22nd in the 1890s. The warm cream ground is adorned with a central elk/stag transfer print in rich amber and brown tones, encircled by the lodge name and event details, and finished with a delicate scalloped gilt edge — a true collector's time capsule from the Gilded Age.
