A stunning piece of American institutional history rendered in classic red transferware. This Vintage Wedgwood Red Transferware Plate features the U.S. Naval Academy — Old Midshipmen Quarters, 1868–1905 scene at center, surrounded by a richly detailed border of tall ships, ship's wheels, cannons, anchors, and the official U.S. Naval Academy crest with the motto "Ex Scientia Tridens."

Made by Wedgwood, Etruria, England, with the original backstamp and sole importer seal intact. The scalloped rim and deep cranberry-on-white palette are hallmarks of early 20th-century commemorative transferware at its finest.
